What is the International Academy of Nutrition Educators (IANE)?
A global membership network that provides a platform for professionals and organisations interested in developing and delivering high quality nutrition education and evaluating its impact, particularly on healthcare practices.
What is the aim of IANE?
To develop, deliver and evaluate evidence-based education and training in nutrition and health
To promote the capacity building and mentoring of tomorrow’s trainers, particularly in nutrition and medical/healthcare education
Why do we have a membership scheme?
NNEdPro has spent the last decade developing it's think-tank, training academy and creating a strong knowledge network and network of interest. Looking forward, NNEdPro aims to leverage this momentum further, engage deeper and provide value-added benefits for members in line with the vision and mission of NNEdPro, while building a stronger global community by developing collaborations with SNEB (United States) and Monash University (Australia).
Who is eligible?
At the moment, the membership scheme is only open to NNEdPro Internal Members, Members of the Society for Nutrition and Behaviour (SNEB), and those who complete the full course "Food as Medicine" provided by Monash University. We hope to roll out our membership scheme to the wider community after the pilot phase is completed.
What is the Society for Nutrition Education and Behavior?
The Society for Nutrition Education and Behavior (SNEB) represents the unique professional interests of nutrition educators in the United States and worldwide. SNEB is dedicated to promoting effective nutrition education and communication to support and improve healthful behaviors and has a vision of healthy communities through nutrition education and advocacy. SNEB provides forums for sharing innovative strategies for nutrition education, expressing a range of views on important issues, and disseminating research findings. Members of SNEB educate individuals, families, fellow professionals, and students, and influence policy makers about nutrition, food, and health.
We are proud to partner with SNEB to provide a Joint SNEB-IANE membership scheme at discounted rates. Take advantage of this deal to be connected and access a network of nutrition educators across the world in health care practice and community settings.
